What will I look straight after my procedure?
Will the area look artificial, like a tattoo or even makeup?
Please allow up to 2 hours for your initial treatment to allow time to custom mix your colour, 30-45 minutes numbing and also procedure time.
Appointments are typically spaced at 4 to 6 weeks apart. This allows for a comfortable and gradual process while minimising risk.
No! Once healed, the area pigmented will look natural. It is very difficult to distinguish the Re-pigmented area from your ‘normal’ skin.
You may require a referral for certain conditions. If you have a medical referral referral please inform the receptionist when scheduling your appointment and bring it along with you to your appointment. Consultation fees are halved with a medical referral.

Do I need a medical referral?
Please let us know before your treatment starts if you have any known allergies, for instance, to metals such as nickel, or to local anaesthetic.
Let us know if you are planning to go on holiday within 4 weeks of your treatment, or you are unwell or have a cold. If so, please contact our receptionist to arrange an alternative appointment.
Before your treatment, custom medical pigments are mixed and matched to the surrounding areas to be camouflaged.
Prescription topical anaesthetics are used to numb treatment areas to minimise discomfort.
Most patients describe the procedure as painless.
Procedures are minimally invasive and offer little or now down time.
The pigment colour will appear darker and more intense, this is normal. Colour will fade 40-60% within a week to ten days.
The area treated will appear red for several days and mild swelling may occur, this is dependant on age, location of the treatment area and the condition treated. Pigments need to mature in the skin, it will take approximately 6 weeks for the true colour to emerge.
In rare instances, patients with dry skin can take up to 3 months for the true colour to be fully realised.
Typically 3 - 4 applications is all that is required to achieve the desired result.Procedures are space once every 6-8 weeks.
Depending on the area and condition being pigmented, further touch-ups may be required. It is best to wait at least 6 months after the initial procedure before further sessions.
Fees are dependant on the size and severity of the condition - its really impossible to say without seeing what is involved.
However fees are comparable to laser procedures and begin at $300 per treatment.
